A friend of mine stayed there and enjoyed it. It's not luxurious, but quite comfortable.

Greetings...Yes, we stayed at the Yellow Bird villa for thirty glorious days two years ago (mid-Nov to mid-Dec). Its perfect for a couple who can appreciate being pretty well left on their own...albeit with scheduled housekeeping, gardener and pool-keeping service. You're literally but a few steps (less than a 5 minute stroll) to Oualie Beach (and hotel/bar) as well as an aquatic sports rental place. The 1/2 acre grounds are "just right", some fruit trees and many flowering plants/trees.

You will find the English owner most accommodating with your requests and a delight to deal with.

Please understand that Yellow Bird is a one-bedroom "cottage"...not the Four Seasons! The private pool is really a bonus and something even the Four Seasons can't offer. You would be well advised to rent a car to tour, visit the town and purchase groceries. Cabs are available and deliveries can be arranged, as can catering.

We found that making our own breakfasts, most of our lunches and then dining out 3 or 4 times a week was the way to go.

We highly recommend it...if that's what you're looking for..."a self-catering" holiday villa experience. Cheers, Richard & Liz.
