Cell Phone in St Kitts

We will be staying at the Marriott in St. Kitts in December, 2013. I have Verizon Cell phone(Samsung SIII 4g). Will it work on the island? or should I rent a phone?

Yes, it will work but sign up with Verizon for International Service before you leave for St. Kitts (it cost about $5 or $6/month and you can cancel when you get back home if you won't be doing more int'l travel). Depending on your Verizon Plan you may have to pay Roaming Charges for calls and data. If you are coming for the typical 7 to 10 day vacation getting Int'l Service and paying any associated Roaming Charges will still be less expensive than renting a local phone.
