Cruise Stop

Will be in St. Kitts for one day from 8-6 in October. What is best way for us to spend our day? Any recommendations for private tours or one day pass at nice resort? Or should we rent a car & do it ourselves? There will be about 6 of us. Would love to see the main sights & also spend some time on a beautiful beach. Appreciate all suggestions!

There's no "best" way to spend your day, only "different" ways. It all depends on what YOU like.

When you get off the ship hire one of the local taxi driver/guides to give you a 2 1/2 to 4 hour tour (your choice) of the island then ask the driver to drop you off at either Frigate Bay or South Friars Bay for lunch and some beach time. Tell the driver what time you have to be back at your ship and he/she will pick you up at the appropriate time. Doing this will give you the "best' of both worlds - you'll see all the man points of interest, get a chance to dine on some local foods and enjoy one of the island's beaches.

FYI - there will be plenty of taxis waiting just outside the Port Zante dock complex.

You can contact PEREIRA TOURS at www.lizpereirastourstore.shutterfly.com for a private island tour.
