Welcome to the TA forums! Is this your first trip to the Cayman Islands? How long is your vacation? Was there a particular reason you want to go to the Brac? While everyone has a different idea of romance, most people go to the Brac for diving and bird watching. Beach access is limited and nothing there compares to SMB. Accommodations on the Brac are nice but hardly spectacular in terms of pools patios and other amenities since most people spend their time on dive boats rather than around a pool.

There is only one resort/hotel and it is called the Cayman Brac Beach Resort. It is nice and clean and was recently remodeled but it is small and not luxurious. The remodeling included a large freeform infinity pool and a multi-level beach bar. The CBBR also offers a small spa, an exercise room, free WiFi, tennis courts, and nightly activities like movie night and trivia, and free use of bicycles.

It is an all-inclusive resort and the food is served buffet style but it is very good; and that is okay because there aren't many restaurant options on the island. The Friday night barbecue is excellent.

There are a lot of opportunities to enjoy nature on CB, including biking, hiking, exploring caves, climbing, enjoying the wetland, and the bird sanctuaries, and there is a small museum.

The island is clean and safe and the people are very friendly.

Besides the CBBR you can rent a condo or house but since you are only planning to be there for a weekend the resort is probably your best option.

Are you divers? There is an excellent on-site dive operation called Reef Divers. We are divers and have been to the CBBR several times and will going back soon.

I agree with KathleenM,

Le Solei d'Or looks like a wonderful venue, it seems a little pricey but if it is within your budget then it might be perfect for your romantic weekend.

Another vote for LE Soleil. We have yet to go, but so many friends here in GC who visit friends and family on the Sister Islands recommend it time and time again. I am planning on giving it as a surprise gift to my other half for a week's getaway. Please write about your experiences if you decide to go that route -- Thank you!!!

We love Tropical Run A Way, check out their website www.tropicalrunaway.com It's secluded but close enough to drive to the little grocery, Star Island Restaurant and a quick drive to the Cayman Brac resort and dive shops.
