Looking for other places like Little Cayman

We love the quietness of Little Cayman and are looking for similar places in the Caribbean where we can rent a house/villa on the coean very far away from people and places... anyone have any recommendations? (Mustique is out of our budget). Thanks.

I like St. John in the US Virgins...or Tortola in the British Virgins. Not quite as undeveloped as Little Cayman, but the lush mountains and the many beaches in beautiful coves with calm, clear and blue, blue water are just gorgeous. 3/4 of St. John is national park. Great hiking, excellent restaurants, friendly people.

I love Little Cayman, too, and have been alternating going there with trips to Salt Cay near Grand Turk. Very similar -- quiet, friendly, and beautiful. There a few differences -- Salt Cay has more history (there used to be a major salt works there and some of the old buildings remain) and there are enough locals ("belongers") to give a sense of community. Feral donkies and cows and roosters and chickens give a rural feeling to the place that I find very appealing. There are several places to stay, including a few rental houses. And about 4 or 5 restaurant. For information about everything on Salt Cay, contact Debbie at Salt Cay Divers.
