Beaches in Grand Cayman

Is there a hotel that offers a day pass. Please note Westin, Marriott, and Ritz Carleton do not, at least at this time. Also, does anyone know of a place where you can rent chairs, umbrellas on 7 mile beach or another beach. Thanks for any help

The day pass thing is seasonal, so much will depend on when you are coming. If those three don't for the time you are there, then I think that won't be an option for you.

The question about the beaches is something that is asked a lot - see the answer in the "Top Questions" titled "Which Beaches Are Best For Cruise Ship Passengers"

If you have questions after that, please come back and we'll do our best to answer them.

Researching it further, I found Tiki Beach but they charge 30 for admission and then an additional 10 for the umbrella. While people like Grand Cayman and I had a nice snorkeling expedition, the beach reviews are mixed. Any recommendations for a day off a cruise.

"the beach reviews are mixed"

Not all beaches are the same, but more importantly not everyone uses the same criteria in evaluating a beach. SMB is very popular, and most people describe the long expanse of white sand, and the pretty blue water. That has almost no appeal for me, because that long expanse of sand continues out under the water. That means that, for the most part, the snorkeling isn't as good as it is in other places.

Those who want to sit on the beach and admire the sand and water, and perhaps wander to a bar and order a drink will almost certainly think SMB is an excellent beach. The same is true for those who want to swim, rather than snorkel. Those of us who are more interested in what's in the water that borders the beach are more likely to rate other beaches as being much better.

The price of admission aside, you may find that Tiki Beach isn't really what you wanted. If you tell us the specific things that matter to you people can offer much better answers.

Check out Royal Palms... they have chair/umbrella rentals for the beach, and an adult only pool area.
