Grand Cayman questions

Hello I am new to this forum. Doing some research on next summers vacation and Grand Cayman is a possibility. I was there in 1990 and loved it, but I'm sure it's changed. Thinking about the Marriott or the Westin. Comments? Also approximately how much for 2 adults and 2 kids for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast and lunch at hotel, dinner could be anywhere. Also taxi prices? Thanks for your help.

Would you consider a condo instead of a hotel? Plenty of room for the family to spread out and a big savings having your small meals, snacks and drinks at home instead of at the hotel or at restaurants.

Take a look at caymanvacations.com if interested in condo options. There are many more condos than there are hotels since many families choose that option over a hotel room.

Also you might want to go to the caymanislands.ky page. Depending on what ages your children are, there is a program called Summer Splash that offers things like kids eating free. Can't guarantee they will have it next year, but it has been running for several years now and there seems to be no reason the successful program wouldn't be back to entice people during next years off season as well. With a family, I'd check into the condos as well. We don't eat in much except breakfast when we have an early dive boat, but the room, laundry faciltes for wet bathing suits, etc., and just the overall space makes it worthwhile. Used to do two hotel rooms when our kids were little and after the first stay in a condo, never looked back. You can find prices at caymangoodtaste.com and caymanrestaurantguide.com and in addition to the site kiddos gave you try cicondos.com, caymanvacation.com and vrbo.com. Come back with questions!

Have you read thru the "Top Questions about Grand Cayman" to the right of the screen? In addition to the very good advice info kiddos and Retrip have given you. you may find answers to some of your questions as well as other ones you haven't even thought of yet.
