kids on buses/ driving permits

Trying to decide between a rental car and the public bus system for a one day trip.

Do kids have to pay to ride the bus or just adults?

Do you really need to pay for the driving permit if you are renting a car for just one day?

Yes you do have to pay for the driving permit even if only for 1 day. With a car and a full day you can hit all the "hot spots" on Cayman. The turtle farm, hell, the blow holes.

Watch your route if you are off a cruise ship (or there is a cruise ship in town that day) do not try to drive through Georgetown by the water, take the bypass.

But if I had only a day I would either go to the beach all day or do a trip to Stingray city. You could do the Turtle Farm and then the beach.

If you are coming off a cruise don't do the beach tour with them they go to the end of Seven Mile Beach too near town and it is narrow and crowded. Go to one of the public beach entry points past the Westin.
