Harbor heights and public beach next door

We are looking to stay at harbor heights condo hotel on seven mile beach this winter. Can anyone discuss the impact of having the public beach that cruise ships drop off at right next door? I believe calico jacks is right there as well. Love the idea of having the beach bar a short walk away, but just worried about a crowded beach. Is it a nightmare or will we not be bothered on the stretch of beach in front of the hotel?

The condos on SMB reserve their beaches for their guests only. Don't think you will have to share your beach with cruisers, but you may see them on the adjacent beach.

It's true that the condo beaches and lounge chairs are for their guests but the cruisers do spread out away from the Public Beach to get away from the crowds. You can spot them with their back and fanny packs carrying beach towels from the cruise lines. Some have shown no regard for private property, especially after a few drinks. When we stayed at the old Caribbean Club and at Plantana, we saw quite a few who plopped into the lounge chairs with their beer. Hopefully, if that happens, management or another guest will send them on their way . I did.

If you read the reviews on TA for Harbor Heights, some have said that there was no problem being next to the Public Beach.

The beach is public, however, up to the high water mark so folks can sit at the shoreline and swim anywhere.

We were there in Nov. two years ago and it really was no problem. Most of the cruisers stay over on their area, a couple will come over and spread their towel down by the water, but HH chairs are up from the water just a tad and allow you to be close to the water, but tucked away back a tiny bit. You could hear the music and things happening over there, but faded out. Most of the cruisers are gone by 3ish anyhow as they have to get back to their boats. Jacks is far enough down you will not even know it is there unless you walk over. I was a bit worried about the public beach being next door as well and found it to be, as promised, no problem :)
