Planning a Trip to Peter Island

Just wanted to know when is the best time to visit this island? Anyone know when hurricane season is down there? I have 10 days to explore and this looks like it could be the perfect get-away

The official Atlantic/Caribbean Hurricane Season runs from June 1 through November 30. The most active period for major storms is generally from late August/early September through the end of October. The thing you have to know is that even if there is a major tropical storm in the Caribbean it may not come anywhere close to the island you are visiting.

You can research the "frequency" of hurricanes on any given island by using the Climatology link at www.stormcarib.com - scroll down to "Hits & Misses" then select the island you wish to visit. You'll find data showing buy month/year the number of storms that affected that particular island during the last 150 years. major storms.
