Mahoe Bay Villas vs. Guavaberry Spring Bay Villas

We are considering a trip to Virgin Gorda. We are two couples (parents - 70's, daughter and son-in-law, 50's) who are looking for a great beach, snorkeling, views, relatively easy access to beach, relative privacy (or the illusion of) and a location with groceries, budget or moderately priced restaurants, other beaches, parks and other things to do within an easy drive (or walk). We are looking at the back row of villas at Mahoe or something at Guavaberry. Suggestions, comments? Has anyone stayed at both to be able to compare? Thank you!

ilovpalmtrees, our family of 4 stayed at Blue Lagoon in June of this year and loved it. The villa is like a mini resort with total privacy in all the bedrooms in case your traveling with other people. The main house has a bedroom off the living room and another master bedroom on the first floor that has private entrance. The "main" master bedroom is a detached building on the other side of the pool area and is like a little a mini villa all by itself! Everything's new and very modern about the property.

The villa has a beautiful swimming pool and spa that looks out over the ocean and other villa's in the area. Although not ocean front villa, it's still a VERY nice view and location. It's an easy 1 minute walk to the semi-private beach that is used by only a few villa's in the area. On most days we had the beach to ourselves.

Blue Lagoon also has a mini golf course and ping-pong table so there's lots to do there. The private road that Blue Lagoon is on only has a hand full of homes so it's very private and secure. Feel free to private message me for more info or pictures. We would return to Blue Lagoon in a second!

Not sure about the price compared to others but its one of the nicest Villas in the area. Beachcomber across the street is also a beautiful villa to stay in and it's right on the beach.

There are lots of listings under different codes for the same villas - travel agents like Wimco, villas of distinction and a number of others list the same villas - there is one major management company on the island, Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals, that handles some of the villas at windy hill, all of Mahoe Bay and all of Leverick north sound - then there are the websites and listings by the actual owners of the villas - generally speaking you can get a discount from the owners by going direct as they don't have commissions to pay.
