1st Time: STT to Scrub Island

This is our first time going to the BVI's. We are flying in and out of STT. Coming back, we will stay the night before our flights in STT so travel will not be a concern.

I have questions about getting to Scrub Island....

We arrive in STT at 12:50pm.

Taxi to Ferry Dock- Should we book this ahead of time?

Ferry to Road Town- Which company do you recommend? The

2:30pm Native Son sounds like an ideal time.

Taxi to Trellis Bay Dock- Are there taxis waiting at the Road Town Ferry Dock or do we need to arrange this ahead of time? How long is the taxi ride and what is the cost? The resort will pick us up at Trellis Bay.

Taxis are easily available at both STT and in RT.

RT to Trellis will be $28 for 2 pax. BVI taxi fares here:

The ride is approx 25-30 mins

Thinking about stopping over Scrub Islands too for our trip to STT. Can we take a ferry to Scrub from STT? Or do we have to take the ferry to Tortola, then water taxi to Scrub Island? Scrub Island is a private island is that correct?

We're spending a week on Scrub Island next month. We are flying in/out of STT and will be taking the ferry from St. Thomas to Tortola (Road Town) and back. Take a taxi from Road Town to Trellis Bay, where the Scrub Island Resort will pick you up (water taxi). I believe Scrub Island is private and as far as I know, there's nothing there except for the Scrub Island Resort and the Marina.
