We contacted the property manager of "MODERN 'FOOT IN THE WATER' APARTMENT ON GRAND CASE BEACH" via Home Away website, Rental ID 941595. Unfortunately the property manager Suzon Bonet email add ben hacked and hence we were communicating with a false id owner. We signed a false contract and sent the money to someone posing as Suzon Bonet, the property manager. Two days before leaving for our Christmas vacation we were contact by the “fake” Suzon Bonnet telling us half the building burnt down. We contacted HomeAway qand they told us that they could not do anything and to try contacting the owner. We finally reached the Owner” Francoise Rosado in Paris. She bluntly said that it’s our problems and didn’t’ want to help in any useful way. We pleaded with her for two days to try and cut us some slack an rent the condo at lower rate. She took her time and finally came back it us a half day before we were going to fly out and said we could rend it to us for same price as what we originally lost, in other words another $1000 The Real Suzon Bonet who’s emails account had been hacked finally also wrote that same day right before we were going to fly out and had really nothing positive to say or explanations of why her email account was jeopardized.. This whole story caused us to lose our two last days of work before Christmas holidays scrambling to find something to rent. We lost all out money and found that both the property manager Suzon Bonnet and the owner to be unhelpful in the process and would not by any means do business with them ever!
