L'Hoste Hotel or Alamanda Resort?

The beach and whole tropical vibe at L'Hoste seems very nice but Alamanda looks a bit more luxurious. Is is worth the extra money? It's actualy hard to tell which property is nicer from the photos. Anyone stay at either or both of these? Which do you prefer and why? Which one is better located to the charming town and restaurants?

Price is also an issue so we are hoping that if we choose L'Hoste we wouldn't be giving up too much. What do you think?

1. Re: L'Hoste Hotel or Alamanda Resort?

Both properties are very similar with Alamanda getting the slight edge inasmuch as its a bit newer, neither are what I would call "luxurious", but Alamanda is clean and nicely appointed. If there is a big difference in price go for L'Hoste, if its negligible, go for Alamanda.

Both are on Orient, both have small restaurant/cafe's on premises primarily for breakfast, but lunch and dinner are served as well, pools are about equal, both are quiet, distance to Orient Village is likewise negligible.
