Van and Driver in St Maarten

We are a group of 10 and are looking for a van and driver to pick us up at the port at 9AM and drop us at 1PM at the airport. We will probably just stop to shop and have lunch, and then drop off at the airport. Any suggestions for a company or driver?

Thank you.

Thank you.

I checked with Joyce, and the price quoted is $40 pp or $400 total. Seems kind of expensive. Does anyone know of a more reasonable person or company?

What's reasonable then? 4 hours service for $100 an hour is pretty reasonable, IMO. Gas isn't cheap there, near $5.00 per gallon. Good luck!!

You can contact the taxi association - perhaps they will offer a deal.

DO NOT get into a taxi that does not say TAXI on the license plate, or a bus that does not say BUS on the license plate.

I don't think you'll find a more reasonable deal than what Joyce with her knowledge and personality has to offer!

If you are only going to shop and then have lunch before going to airport then I would get a couple of cabs to take you to the airport after you have shoppped and ate. You will be right buy town from the port so it would be easier to do that and much less expensive.

I presume you are coming from a cruise ship and there is no guarentee that you will be able to depart on time at 9:00am. Plenty of cabs available from port and town so no need to arrainge early.

Ship will tender you to town free.

Don't know what he charges because the service was included in our Celine daycharter but our group of eight was picked up at the bus terminal by the pier and at Skipjacks at the end of day. Bus was clean, comfortable and the drivers very friendly. Thomas Transportation Services ask for Junior or Berland. Email thomastourssxm@gmail.com or call (1-721) 544-3585. Our group arrived at the pickup point early - one quick phone call and the driver was there in just a few minutes. Delivered us safe & sound and was waiting for us when we returned from our day of sailing.
