St Lucia

Just booked a trip to St Lucia in February. I wondered if anyone had any advice or information about safety in St Lucia? We are staying at a reputable villa near Soufriere. I've read articles about some of the happenings over the years in St Lucia related to crime. Do i have anything to be worried about or is St Lucia a peaceful island?

Bon jou B R,

As "safe", or not, as anywhere else.

Don't flash your money, jewelry, gadgets, skin, etc...

Be polite to people... Good morning/night, How are you?, etc...

Don't worry, you & yours will have a peaceful island vacation.

Bless up! Paul

Good choice of vacation, sure you will be fine if you think like at home. Dont be stupid and flash all your gadgets on the beach, leave them while you go for a swim and wonder why they arent there. Be sensible, dont pull wads of cash out and you will be fine. St lucians are a curious, friendly people who will want to get to know you if you want it. Its rare you leave the island without making friendships here.
