Map of Soufriere

5 more sleeps at home then we are on St Lucia for the first time!! Can someone tell me if we can obtain a street map (for walking, not driving) of Soufriere somewhere? We will be staying at a small villa outside the center of town and I love to stroll around towns during vacations. Even a touristy-type map is fine. Are there brochures, maps etc worth picking up at the airport (UVF??) when we arrive? Woohoo, almost there!

Soufriere is quite small - one morning or afternoon will cover it with time to spare - this map has a blow-up of Soufriere on the left side - skyviews.com/skyviews/…SLUMap.swf

Thanks GDbear65- exactly what I wanted! Do you happen to know from that street map which directly the Anse Chastenet resort is? We are staying next to that.

The"blown up" Soufriere map on there does not actually show the road out to Anse Chastenet - it only shows the main town proper. On the bigger map - the yellow road is the "highway: around the island and the 1 single little branch off that dead'ends at Anse Chastenet is the Anse Chastenet road.

In real life, it is easy to find; once you cross over the bridge on the highway (coming from Vieux Fort) you will pass by the cemetary on your left, then come to Hummingbird Beach resort - the highway takes a sharp right turn and heads up the road. If you go "straight" past Hummingbird, you are then on the AC road. There is no sidewalk, etc on the road and it is a very poorly paved/unpaved, poorly kept 1.5 car wide or so road out to AC - hilly also. Can be good exercise for a walk in/out of town!

Enjoy.
