Staying at the Sandals Halcyon

My fiance and I are staying at the Sandals Halcyon. What airport is best to fly into? I heard that one of the airports is a ways away. Also, how long is a cab ride to the mudbaths? or the street fair that goes on Friday night? Does anyone have any tips of must do's and things that we can skip? We want to relax, but get the most out of our vacation as well- Cant wait to visit!

There are 2 airports, one in the south and one in the north. The south airport is UVF and takes the majority of flights into the island (American, JetBlue, Delta, US Airways, etc) This airport is about 1.5 hours from Sandals Hacyon.

The northern airport is SLU and takes smaller aircraft, including American Eagle from Puerto Rico.

Most people fly into the south and take the transfer to the north - you see a bit of the island and the flights into the south come from the most departure points in the States. Totally up to you though!

The mud baths are about 45min-1hour from Sandals Halcyon.

There are 2 different Friday night street parties - the Friday Night Fish Fry in anse La Ray, wchich is about 30 minutes from Sandals and the Gros Islet Street Party/Jump Up which is about 15/20 minutes from Sandals Halcyon.

Definitely a day trip to Soufriere to see the Pitons, sulpher springs/mud baths, botanical gardens/diamond falls is a must do. Several tour companies offer this, along with the tour through the hotel. Try visiting the other Sandals also for the different atmospheres.

Enjoy your visit!
