Bar close to port

We will be in St Lucia when friends arrive on a cruise. We would like to meet them at a bar closest to the dock any suggestions?

The rum shop at Pointe Seraphine has a bar...right alongside the ship.

There are bars inside both port areas that may be the easiest way to get together. Both La Place Caranage and Pointe Seraphine are open to the public. You could easily go on in, meet your friends at the passenger exit area and pick one of the bars there to have a drink together. At LPC, there is the Pirate's Restaurant upstairs with a full menu and bar. At PS, there are several garden bars where Pitons are 2 for $3US along with other drinks. Also the Rum Shoppe/bar at the end with a small rum tasting area and bar.

Those would be the easiest as you could be right there, no transport needed.

Right across the street is the Castries Craft & Spice market. It is a large craft market, food and spice market, recently rated #3 in the world by NatGeo. There is a great produce section, meat section spice market and great local crafts - along with loads of little rum bars all around it. You could meet your friends, walk on over and take in the market, get lunch and drinks there - full local meals with all local meats and produce, etc. If not lunch, then there are loads of little local rum shops around where you can duck in for a drink.

Enjoy your visit!
