Cruise ship---snorkel trip

Will be arriving Castries by cruise ship. Are there companies to take us snorkeling that provide life jackets, fins etc. If so, how to contact them. Do cabs come to the pier to take tours of the island? If so, what are the prices/do you bargin for a rate. Where ship docks....walking distance to town?? Thanks for your help.

with only 1 day to discover St Lucia I suggest you book a tour down the west coast to Soufriere, home of the spectacular Pitons - includes Sulphur Springs Park, snorkeling, lunch and a few stops along the way

check the cruise critics board for reviews and recommendations

Spencer Ambrose, Julian Kennedy, Serenity, Sunlink, Barefoot Holidays, Cosol Tours, Son of Man, Joe Knows, Seaspray, Simon Says and Endless Summer to name a few. Some are boat tours and some are land tours - Spencer Ambrose does a tour by land that includes a short trip by boat to Jalousie Beach at the foot of the Pitons. The roads wind up and down the coastal mountains - very scenic, but some people get motion sick.

Don't know when you are going but we booked with more than a cab company through the internet. 60 per person for our 3 family members for a private tour that ended up lasting 6 hours. Willing to stop anywhere. Went to the volcano, botanical gardens,Soufierre, Did the mud baths. To Chase Antonet for swimming and snorkeling. Stopped anywhere for pics or refreshments.Had Vicky as a tour guide and Sylvestor as a driver. All in all a great day and they met us and dropped us off in the port. They arranged the itinerary and we threw in mud baths and other stops as we went along.
