airport to cruiseport transfers

We are a group of 13 people has anyone used a limo company or van transportation company. I hate using the cruise ship transfers and there are too many of us for a cab.

The worst choice is the cruise transfers at about $20-30pp. I suppose you could arrange a limo, but what if your plane is a half hour late? Three (3) cabs would be a lot easier at $20 per cab plus $1 per bag. The cabs are right outside baggage pickup with at least 50 cabs waiting in line for you.

don't want to have to fight for a cab when we get off the ship. Any reputable transfer companies to recommend

You do not have to fight for a cab. There is a dispatcher there who you line up behind and the cabs are disbursed orderly. Usually there is no line although the cabs are always lined up. And it is just outside the doors from where you pickup your luggage. If you can not carry all your luggage there are porters for a fee to take you from the baggage carosels to the cabs.

Agreed. Take a cab. You can even make arrangements in advance using the website below. But as mentioned above, cabs are very orlderly dispatched and very accessible. No fighting whatsoever, and you don't have to wait for a cab, the drivers do the waiting.

No doubt for your group call Mario @ 1-787-607-9655.

We have used him twice with a group of 14 people. He is loyal, dependable and will give you a great price. So much cheaper than the cruise company. He picked us up at the airport brought us to the hotel, then to cruise terminal and picked us up the day our cruise returned. It was 30.00 per person..

We are using him again in February 2013.

After reading how much your group paid per person for the ride, no doubt Mario was so loyal & dependable... your total cost of the transfer was a $420 for 14 pax @ $30 each, for a ride that costs $20 per cab for 5 people (not per person). Even if the group has to be divided in 2 groups ($40) or even 3 ($60), if there is too much luggage, it real cost for the whole group would be less than $100 for 3 taxis, including extra luggage, extra persons, and tips.

Definitely, the way to go is by taxi !
