All Inclusive on Beach

We are planning a trip to PR in March & are looking for an AI on a beach that is good for snorkeling. We are using this trip to get away from it all to give up our nasty smoking habit so want a place that is relaxing. Since one of us is a vegitarian, it would be nice to find an AI that has a choice of restaurants so we're not stuck with salads every day. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I believe the Paradisus is the only AI in Puerto Rico. I've never been there, so I cannot comment on the food or snorkeling.

There is also the Copamarina on the south part of the island near Ponce - we are planing on staying there in March.

They are also an AI if you want, but a lower key type place -

Good luck and congrats on kicking the habit! It is tough but so worth it!!!

We just returned from the Paradisus on Friday. This place is beautiful...the food was excellent..the onyl thing we steered away from was the outdoor grill....too many birds. Alot of posts state the food was not so good..and they could not get reservations for the upscale restaurants. After we checked in we made our reservations to all the restaurants and had no problems. We have stayed at alot of all inclusive resorts and this was the best. As far as snorkeling..I don't believe it was available..the beach is rocky...most people were at the pools. It is definately relaxing..not many kids..and very romantic. The nightlife was great too...live music every night..and the casino was fun. If you go be sure to book Bamboo and Romantico asap. They were the best restaurants. The only problem we came across was there is only one small shop on the premises which has limited items....so be sure to bring what you need. Everyone we spoke with was amazed at how wonderful this place was. Hope this helps.

As for your " smoking " kick , the Westin Rio Mar is supposed to PR's only non-smoking hotel

The Copamarina Beach Resort in Guanica (on Puerto Rico's southern coast--the Caribbean side) is not a true all inclusive. They do offer a meal and drinks plan which for an extra charge. Their menu is limited.

They do offer snorkeling tours right off the resort. If you stay here you will be getting away from it all. I recommend the place. Call them and see what accommodation they will make for a vegetarian.
