4.5 days trip - need refining

Hi,

Below is my tentative plan for full 4.5 days in PR (reaching SJU on 8-FEB night), please help me refine it.

(all hotels booked)

reaching at night and staying near old san juan

day 1 - visit old san juan - stay at fajardo inn at night

day 2 - get the morning ferry for Vieques - day time go around Vieques and evening bio bay tour, stay at guest house at night

day 3 - catch morning ferry and goto El Yunque NP, evening reach Caribe Hilton

day 4 - one day trip (WATERFALL CLIMB- RAPPELLING - ZIPLINE ), night at same above hilton

day 5 - go back to old San Juan/rest at hotel and catch the 5PM flight.

also need help in getting day-3 organized, havent really planned on what to do in El Yunque, wife is a photographer so thought might be interesting for her...

Please suggest.

Here are some ideas:

Day 3 - Visiting the Camuy Caves and a visit to Mar Chiquita beach in Manati during the return trip for geat beach photos.

or

Day 3 - Guavate and Cayey. The country scene is worth the trip. The Sand and the Sea restaurant and el Meson de Melquiades in Cayey have great views of the horizon from the top o the mountains to the sea.

Day 3- Ponce - city architecture (Art Deco) & points of interest, Old firehouse, Indian ceremonial park w/ petroglyps, Hacienda Buena Vista coffee plantation, Serralles Castle, etc.

Day 4 - Seems you planned going back to El Yunque, then, take photos that day.

Regarding car in Vieques did you check Maritza's, Chepito's or Avis at the W for availability?

I had actually wanted to goto Ponce, but then decided against it since it will be lot of drive...

but the amuy Caves and Mar Chiquita beach sounds interesting, i might do that...thanks for your advice.

have called almost 8-9 car rental company (including the ones you mentioned) and they dont have availability....wonder if it will be easy to get around Vieques in local taxi or publicos.

The main issue would be to go biobay tour and get return cab....
