Old that can climb onto a raft? If so I'd say rafting.

I'd say rafting also.

Sommerset falls requires some uphill walking and steps and getting into and out of a boat if you wish to go back and see the falls. Gets a bit slippery. There is also the option to jump out of the boat and swim back to the dock. We did and it was a bit tough.

The grounds are nice at Sommerset. You can swim in the pool, look at the animals around the park, drink and or eat at the bar/restaurant.

I think the rafting would be more calm and relaxing.

Rafting - for the reasons above, plus some of the most beautiful scenery in Jamaica. Very peaceful and relaxing.

I am also "older" (60+) and did the rafting trip. No problems Mon! Very comfortable seats with back support. You can stop for a riverside lunch about halfway down - grilled over a fire by locals. The whole experience was fantastic and a highlight of our two week visit to PA. Ditch the Falls...go rafting!
