place to eat first night?

Is there a casual place to eat that is walkable from Goblin Hills?

Our flight arrives KIN around 1:15p, so I'm assuming we will arrive PA around 5-5:30p? ...then we'll have to check out the pad... check out the view... have a Red Stripe... or two... so we'll probably need something close and casual for dinner that first night.

Thanks.

There is nothing that is very close to Goblin Hill to eat at, however unless thing have changed, I thought that Goblin Hill came with a cook/housekeeper for each unit. If that is still the case and knowing what time you will be arriving, then she should have dinner waiting that first night. The way it work is that there will be enough provisions at the unit for the first night and the next morning. Then you go into town with her (or send her off on her own) the next day and purchase what you will need for the length of your stay and also pay for the provisions that had already been purchased on your behalf.

Thanks for the reply.

We actually had decided to not have our housekeeper cook for us for the week. We prefer to go out on our own and try different restaurants. But I just sent a message to the hotel requesting that she prepare a dinner that first night and possibly a couple of other nights.

Thanks again!

the other option as a close place is San San Tropez, its right next to Fern Hill, across Frenchman's cove. it's a short distance from Goblin Hill too :) ive stayed in this area before.. San San Tropez is owned by Italian-Jamaicans and they make great italian food. could be a nice place to go if you can't get your maid to cook you a real good jamaican meal :D

Agree with Bighouse. Dickie's is great, Norma's is very good but the best meals we had were in our villa.

San San Tropez and Dickies are definitely on my list for dinners during the week. I'm sure we will wind up having the housekeeper/cook prepare more dinners during the week, but I just didn't want to commit to anything before arriving and seeing what's out there. I'm glad that we decided to have her cook that first night though... definitely nice to not have to worry about that first thing.

Thanks again!
