First Time to Jamaica-- Please help me pick a resort

We are heading to Jamaica after Christmas for a short 4 night vacation. This will be the first time we leave our baby overnight and are looking to relax, enjoy some spa services, take in some fantastic views and probably do 1 excursion (I would like to do a ziplining tour)

We are looking at Couples San Souci, Couples Negril and Grand Lido Negril or Sandals Dunn River Falls. Can anyone make recommendation of why we should choose one over the other? They are all comparably priced. (Sandals Whitehouse and Sandals Negril are several hundred more per person)

For background we stayed at Secrets Excellence in the Mayan Riviera and the Paradisus Punta Cana on our last two vacations and thoroughly enjoyed them both.

I am posting this on the Ocho Rios and Negril forums.

Hi, We will be visiting Jamaica for the first time in late January and had the same predicament as you - where to stay. We have booked Couples Sans Souci. All the rooms are suites, its not as big as Couples Negril, so hopefully more relaxing. Has spa facilities. Dunns River Falls trip available (I think).

We went to Playa del Carman, Iberostar Tucan in January and found it to be too big and impersonal.

From what I can gather about Sandals is that you pay well over the odds for what you get, whereas with Couples you get everything just as good for less money.

I hope you enjoy your holiday, it will seem strange not having your baby to look after, which will make the say seem a lot longer, being able to do just wat you want to.
