Would this place be too far for a day trip from Negril. If it is not too far would there be anything else to combine with this to make it worth the drive. We have been to Dunn River falls. Is this near Reach Falls.What do you think the cost would be for a private driver for this.
There is a Blue Hole near Negril (about 30 minutes drive)----small deep hole for jumping and a huge pool as well as a bar.
Not sure about Reach Falls.....
The Irie Blue Hole is about a 30 min. drive the other side of Ocho Rios. plan on the trip taking 4 hr. one way. Total tour time would be 9 hr. plus depending on how long you stay and if you stop along the way.

13 reviews Don't think it would be worth the trip from Negril, but that's up to you. As Thevinnie said, you are looking about about 9 hours travel time. Not really worth the drive to only be able to spend an hour or so at each location.
Reach Falls is on the opposite side of Jamaica from Negril. Near Portland. I would guess it is about a 5 to 6 hour drive from Negril each way. Kingston/Negril is about 4 hours dive each way.
Why not consider a Falls visit to the ones that are local to Negril: YS Falls and Mayfield Falls; either one would be a 1/2 day excursion depending on how long you wanted to spend there. YS Falls has tubbing and a zip line, too.
Meant to write that Reach Falls is in the Portland Parish.

Reich Falls is near Long Bay in Portland Parish on the east coast of the island. We didn't drive straight through to Long Bay from Negril but its about a five hour drive at most. Not good for a day trip but we spent a few days there this winter while staying in Negril and it was fabulous. Loved the whole idea of being at the western most part of the island and the eastern most part of the island.
