Pelican Bar is on the south coast and a 2 1/2 hr car ride from Negril then a quick boat ride.

We went to YS Falls, Black River, and Floyd's Pelican Bar on Friday. We used Dudley Warren of Big Ship Tours and he arranged everything. He also made some interesting stops along the way, and really got to see some true Jamaican culture. An amazing lunch was included. Cost was $100 including admission to all attractions, and the boat to Floyd's. Highly recommend it. Pelican Bar was cool.

Going to Booby Cay this afternoon just to say we were there.... Apparently not much to see, unless u want to go nude on the far side of the island, apparently. But our waterspouts guy at CSA will take us for free so why not?

There are lots of guys up and down the beach who will tKe you for a negotiated fee.

Depending on where you are staying on Bloody Bay, you trip to Booby Cay can run from about 250m to about 2km. Plan on a short boat ride of 10 min. or less. Going to the Pelican Bar from Bloody Bay it is about 80km, one way, by sea. You want to take the bus most of the way from Negril and then a boat for the last 2km or so to the bar rather than going by sea all the way.

We've always used Talk Of The Town tours. Look them up online- the owners, Soloman and Sienna are just the best!

If you're staying at or close to Breezes GN, you can kayak out to Booby Cay in ~15 min. Bring shoes - there's a rough trail that goes from the beach on south end of the island to the north end. It's a fun 15 minute walk to see some of the unmanicured tropical foliage, plus some nice views of Bloody Bay.

As mentioined above, you can't go to the Pelican Bar from Negril by boat (assuming that's what you meant...?), since it's way too far for anything other than a smuggler's speedboat.
