Not sure about a guide, but were you aware of this place...Rockland Bird Sanctuary.

Unfortunately, it's near Montego Bay.

There is no organised Bird watching facility in Ochi....... Your best bet would be Rocklands Bird Sanctuary in Anchovy, St James.

There are aviaries at Mystic Mountain and Enchanted Gardens in Ocho Rios

Rocklands is south and west of Montego Bay a few miles. It is about a 2 hr. drive, one way, from Ocho Rios. For details see the following

Thanks! With only one week in Ochi, making the trek back to Montego Bay is too far. I may just check out the Enchanted garden or Mystic River. Not sure which one is better?

@40hrs, Do remember I said aviaries....... Mystic Mtn has humming birds but you have to at least pay for the Sky Explorer to do that.

We have been to both the Enchanted Gardens (now called Turtle River Falls and Gardens) and to Mystic Mountain. Both have aviaries. Both are very nice, but quite different.

Mystic Mountain is more of an amusement park type of attraction. You take the ski lift up to the top of the mountain. Up top they have bar, restaurant, gift shop, pool, aviary, etc. The aviary was actually quite nice and we saw lots of birds there. You can also do the bob sled ride and/or the zip line. Once you are done, you take the ski lift back down to the bottom. It is a bit pricey ($69 to $120 depending on what you do).

Turtle River Falls and Gardens is quite different. Very laid back and chill vibe. Your guide will escort you up the steps along side the 7 or so different water falls. Our guide was very fun and educational. You don't climb the falls - like you can at Dunn's River Falls. There are places where you can go into the water for pictures. It is a stunningly beautiful place. After you come back down, the guide will take you to the koi pond and then into the enclosed aviary. The birds are very tame and will perch right on your finger, shoulder, or head. I believe entry fee was $20 per person (plus a tip for your guide).
