Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, are long pants REALLY required?

In the restaurants? I seem to remember reading somewhere, that they relax the policy, during non-peak times, like now. Anyone just returned from there, can you speak up?

And are the restaurants/buffet air-conditioned?

Thanks! We arrive there on Tuesday this week :)

Long pants are required in all Iberostar resorts' enclosed a la carte restaurants, no matter how many people are there or what "season" it is. If the a la carte is open air, then shorts are generally accepted.

Enclosed restaurants and the buffet are air conditioned.

I was there a week ago - pants are required for the A La Carte Restaurants -

they are air conditioned and the food spectacular.

Trust me lowering reasonable standards would be a move in the wrong direction - packing a pair of casual dress pants for dinner certainly weighs in your favor.

Have a safe trip and enjoy.

I guess that's one more place I won't be visiting. I refuse to take long pants to Jamaica. Just seems unethical to me somehow. But that's just me.

Unethical - an interesting world choice.

Are you thinking that a five star resort restaurants should allow the same casual dress allowed at breakfast and lunch to dinner?

Jamaica sticks to high ethical standards even outside of the hotels - you can always fly coach, rather than first class if you prefer.

Then to each his own - the bottom line is that it's your money so you should and will spend and go as you wish.

Enjoy.

I'm saying I wouldn't stay somewhere that has a dress code. I don't go on vacation to have to dress up for anything. And like I said, that's just me. I was only making a comment about me, not trying to put down anybody who enjoys doing this on their vacation.

And I always fly coach BTW.
