We were at SSB last November for three days and the weather was perfect! DH hates the heat and I was worried that he would be out of sorts over it. Never once mentioned the heat (we spent the days in beach chairs pulled out into the water). I even heard him telling one of his friends when we got home how perfect it was and that he would love to go back. Even though it was in the 80s every day, the humidity was low and there was always an ocean breeze. The evenings were perfect to sit out and enjoy the entertainment.

Don't expect a 5-star hotel. We likened it to a Red Roof Inn. However, we were treated like 5-star guests. Matter-of-fact, we are going back again next month for ten days. Our room was always clean with fresh bedding and towels every day.

Word of advice: Make reservations for the speciality resturants as soon as you get there. The jerk chicken and French fries at the Grille are wonderful.

Go Steelers! And since you are from a drinking town with a football problem, remember to bring large insulated mugs since they serve drinks in 7oz. plastic cups that don't keep your drink cold.
