Greetings and welcome to you.

There are two Royal Decameron resorts in Jamaica.. Are you staying at Royal Decameron Club Caribbean in Runaway Bay or Royal Decameron Hotel in Montego Bay?

Blessings and respect.

Cool, I've been there myself. It's a really fun place and the staff are great. Not fancy at all but nice property lots of gardens.

There are several shops right on the road leading in to the hotel. There are also a couple of places out on the main road. If you want some major shopping, you will need to go into Ocho Rios about 25 minutes away.

The town of Runaway is very quiet, you can check out the Riviera Bar across the street which is loads of fun ( think VERY rustic though ) Definately walk over to Cardiff Hall Beach ( about 10 minutes walk on the main road to your right as you leave the hotel. ) It is a BEAUTIFUL beach and it will allow you to see the turquoise water/white sand type beach you see in the photos. The folks there are great too, you can buy fresh fruit etc.

There is TONS of information here on this website on the Royal Decameron and Excursions in the area... just search through the pages of posts. Anytime you see RDCC that is referring to your resort.

There is another member here jschweer who just returned from two weeks at RDCC and had an incredible time! She can give you lots of info too...

Blessings and respect to you.

Hi again,

How much you should bring depends on how long you'll be there, how often you want to go exploring, what sort of things you want to do as well as how many souvenirs you want to bring back.

Most things are reasonably priced, REMEMBER that everything is negotiable in Jamaica so always "bargain" for a better deal...

If you can specify some more, I might be able to give you a better idea of how much you'll need to budget.

Blessings and respect to you.
