Visiting in September, couple of questions

We are looking to visit Guadeloupe in September, second half of it actually.

What is the weather like in September, is it really humid?

We are going to have two kids with us, and we are looking at a beach that would have the fewest waves. What can you folks recommend? Thanks!

The beach at Sainte Anne was relatively wave free, and the water not too deep either. We visited in March.

Most of the beaches that are in bays or coves are very calm. The best beaches that we found were in Les Saintes which are 7 islands off the southern tip of Guadeloupe. You can stay there or do day trips from the "mainland".

And second best for us were Deshaies and Pointe Noire. Vastly superior to St. Anne in the sense that west side is Caribbean sea and much calmer than Atlantic side. St. Anne is Atlantic and September can be bit of a rough season there!

All the best,
