Dreams Palm Beach - interconnecting Rooms

Hi

We're a family of 6 looking at this hotel and would need interconnecting rooms. The rooms look ideal, king size bed in one room and 2 doubles in the other which would be fine for the kids. However, just noticed on line that it is a max of 4 in these rooms!!

Has anyone experienced these rooms and if so how many where in your party?

Many thanks :)

The resort's product guide at

amresorts.com/mediasite/…drepb_pg.pdf

doesn't specifically list connecting rooms as a bookable type, but they do say they are available upon request. However, if you try to book 2A/4C via Apple Vacations (the sister company to Dreams/Secrets/Now resorts), they do offer "DELUXE TROPICAL VW FAMILY ROOM" for that group size, so it does appear to be reservable. Now Larimar also has a "Deluxe Family Room" that can sleep 6.

Are any of your kids over 12? That's the cutoff for the child rate at those resorts, and might prevent you from reserving one of those rooms.

We will be at Dreams Palm Dream starting Sunday (yeah!) and we have booked adjoining rooms as you described. I'll let you know (back 3-30.) Check back here. :)

Be very careful in the wording when booking.

Adjoining rooms are simply located next to one another. Connecting rooms have a connecting door between them. All connecting rooms are adjoining, but not all adjoining rooms connect.

Something I learned from my arrival at Dreams.

There are not as many connecting rooms and are subject to availability.

Been to the travel agent this week and been advised that the booking would need to be 2 adults in each room to accommodate. As we'll only have 3 inc eldest age14, we'll have to pay a supplement of £800!! May have to go back to the drawing board on this one!!:(

We have a family tropical suite booked. According to past reviews they are limited - maybe 5 total. Apple won't let you book 12 yrs+ in that category but if you contact the resort they may work with you.
