When you arrive at the Bahia resorts you will be dropped off in front of the lobby of the Bahia Principe Bavaro resort.

There will be a number of porters there. They are very noticeable, wearing beige uniforms.

Advise them that you are a guest staying at the Ambar resort. They will load your luggage onto a luggage cart and transport you, along with your luggage, directly down to the main lobby of the Ambar resort. It really is not necessary to actually go into the lobby of the Bavaro resort.

Once at the lobby of the Ambar resort, the porter will unload your luggage, you will be greeted and directed to the front desk (on your left), where you will provide the front desk staff with your travel documents and they will check you in and provide you with your "Welcome Package", which contains your room cards, welcome letter, activity listing, resort map etc.

They will then arrange for a porter to take you and your luggage to your designated room.

If you prebooked any a la cartes prior to your arrival, ask where the guest services desk is and see them before going to your room.

If you wish to the butler service, which is included in your all inclusive, just advise the front desk staff while checking in.

Hope this does assist you.

exactly as John "Bubba" describes.

the Ambar does not have road access for Transfer Vehicles to their Lobby, only a service road for Pedestrians and the Tram, so you arrive/depart for all off resort activities at the Bavaro LObby.

the Tram between the Ambar Lobby and the Bavaro Lobby runs every few minutes, no real waiting time.

to complete the info about the Bahia Principe arrivals/check ins etc,

it is a similar procedure for guests of the Esmeralda section, no Transfer Vehicle Roadacces to the lobby, so you will be dropped off/picked up at the Punta Cana Lobby and then brought to the Esmeralda lobby. here, for example if you have a excursion, calculate some waiting time to get a ride at the Esmeralda lobby to be brought to the Punta Cana lobby, specially in the mornings when many gusts go on different off resort excursions. i had several times customers waiting at the Esmeralda for a ride over 20 minutes, some excursion outfitters would not let their drivers wait for such a long time, as it would delay too much the pick up of other guests who are on time at the next Bus stop.
