Ocean Blue comparable resorts

We returned aweek ago from Ocean Blue resort . We loved that privilege rooms close to pool and beach. Golf cart tides to lobby and restaurant

We r thinking of returning g to Ocean Blue but I like to stay at different resorts. Ant compare

We want lively pool bar and nightly entertainment. We liked room choices

Group made up of 22 tr olds to 70.

The only reason I'm even looking at something else in 20-30 yr olds would like a larger resort with more bars. Not intersted in Iberostar bavaro or Barcelo. Wondered how Bahia Amber compares to Ocean Blue beach. Pool bars and food

If the older ones in your group are ok with a very large resort complex then yes you might like the Bahia complex. We are a group in 20s and have found great nightlife at the Bahia. Been 3 times 4th in Sept.

Staying at the Luxury Ambar will give you access to the whole complex so the younger ones in the group can go to the Punta Cana/Bavaro Lobby bars at night which are the most active.

During the day the older ones can stay at the private pool in the Ambar section while the younger ones head to the main pool that is more lively with music, drinking and games.

There is also a center called Pueblo Principe that has shopping, gym, casino (small), terrace bar (house bands play on outdoor stage some nights), sports bar, karaoke bar and nightclub.

Plenty to do at the Bahia for all age groups and for the younger ones there is never a night that is repetitive. Some resorts tend to get boring when it is simply lobby bar, see the show, back to lobby bar to wait for nightclub to open.

Safe Travels!

Thank u forl the info. When we started plainning the trip we just returned from Amber was my choice but priced to high do travel agent recommended Ocean Blue as some could book pruvlusge and others regular rooms. Thiscteip is for August and Amber prices out about $300 chaleaper per person than priv section at Ocean Blue.

We all

Livedmikes coffee shop at Ocean Blue and was wondering if Gean Bahia has a coffee shop as we have some non alcohol drinkers with us who love coffee

There is not a dedicated coffee shop at the Bahia's but they do offer a nice selection in the resort lobby every day where many guests will sit with their coffee and relax.

Hope this does help.

We are trying to decide on one AI property - thought Ocean Blue would be something different but concerned about the negative reviews. Did not want to upgrade to privel rooms - is it worth the extra money? How difficult is it to get dinner reservations if staying in reg junior suite?

There are so many restaurants, if one is too busy, there's another one nearby that will have tables.
