Email Albania Batista at: asistenteventasbppuj@bahia-principe.com

Send your request 7-to-10 days prior to arrival along with your tour operators name & booking number.

The Ambar & Esmeralda are the Gran Bahia's upscale/luxury sections, with the Ambar being adult only.

The Bavaro & Punta Cana are their main sections, with the Punta Cana being slightly smaller. Both offer upgraded club level accomodations that offer preferred room location & and an extra a la carte meal voucher (4 versus 3).

Hope this helps!

Fellow destination expert Brooklin will be happy to answer in much more detail.

Heres a link to the resort complex map:

www.resortsmaps.com/popup.html…

The Punta Cana section has yellow lobby #1-#6 and room buildings #1-#19.

The kids club is #6 blue on the Punta Cana side. For convenience, you might want to consider a room half-way between the beach & the lobby.

sarah j,

This information may be of beneifit to you;

Fellow Destination "TravelPro" has nicely provided you a link to the map of the Bahia resorts that I will refer to shortly.

There is a legend at the bottom of the map that will also assist you.

The Bahia resort complex in Punta Cana actually consists of 5 different resorts - all of which are 5 star resorts. It is the largest resort complex one one property in Punta Cana with a total combined rooms from the Bahia 5 resorts of 3,114 rooms - numerous daily & nightly activities with a large shopping and entertainment area on site, called the Pueblo Principe (map blue #14), which is exclusive to Bahia guests only.

Each resort has it's own lobby/check in, lobby bar, gourmet a la carte and main buffet.

Lets start with the Bahia Principe Bavaro resort - 864 rooms - a family resort

- lobby is shown on the map as the pink #1 - guest rooms are the white numbers 21-39 and 71-79

The Bahia Principe Punta Cana resort - 708 rooms - a family resort

- lobby is shown on the map as the yellow #1 - guest rooms are building numbers 1-19.

Each of these two resorts have their own upgrades - the Bavaro resort has an upgrade referred to as Club Diamond or as some tour operators will name it, Club Hacienda - these are room numbers 25-29. Club Diamond has rooms closer to the beach, an additional a la carte $4 versus 3 at a non club upgrade) and a 20% discount available on all services at the Bahia Spa.

The Punta Cana resort has it's upgrade called Club Golden - these are room numbers 1-8 and 20-24 - as you can see, the primary difference is the location to the beach, 24 room service and an additional a la carte per week (4 versus 3)..

Both of these resorts are basically a mirror image of each other - all guest rooms are identical - the guest room buildings are primarily 3 stories in height with a few next to the beach that are 2 stories in height. They share all amenities including the pools - map blue #4,#18 & #22.

Lets continue with the different Bahia resorts:

The Bahia Principe Bavaro-Premier - 504 rooms - a family resort

- lobby is shown on map as the orange #1- guests rooms are building numbers 40-53. This resort is the furthest from the beach but is like a resort within a resort - very quaint and is available through selected tour operators. The new "Boy Scout" Water Park is near buildings #52 & #53 & is open from 8am to 6pm for children only ages 3-12 years.

The Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar resort - 528 rooms - adult only

- lobby is shown on the map as a beige #2 -

Offers all top end services the Bahia has to offer, including a larger selection of liquors, butler service, waiter service at the beach and pool, pillow menu, room safe included in price, private beach area directly in front of it's main beach pool, it's own spa, and room service 24/7. No other guests may use the services of the Ambar other than guests at the next resort I will mention, which is the Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda - and they may only do so provided they do not have children under 18 years of age with them when using the Ambar resorts facilities.

Guests of the Ambar and the Esmeralda may use all of the facilities at the other resorts with the exception of the other resorts gourmet a la cartes and main lobby buffets - that provides them a total of 8 pools to use including their own, throughout all of the Bahia resorts.

The Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda - 510 rooms - a family resort with the same Top End Services as I mentioned above for the Ambar resort, including a private beach area directly in front of their beach pool, 2 buffets, 2 pools, an adult only jacuzzi pool and it's own spa.

The rooms at the Ambar and the Esmeralda all have 4 poster canopy beds, with pillow top mattress's and a slightly different large private washroom layout.

All resorts share the large shopping and entertainment area called the Pueblo Principe (map blue #14) which contains the Casino (drinks are extra there as it is not owned by the resort), disco, smoke shop, kareoke and sports bar, patio lounge, many clothing, gift and jewellery shops, internet shop, local vendors with their wares an outdoor stage where a house band and audience participation nights are often held each evening. They also all share the large Tropicana Theatre (map blue #1) where the big nightly shows are held - two performances nightly - one performance at 9pm and the other at 10:15pm. The "Boy Scout Water Park" located near buildings #52 & #53 at the Bavaro-Premier resort, has a themed pool with many different games/slides - strictly for chiildren ages 3-12 years who are guests at any of the Bahia resorts.

Every pool throughout all resorts has swim up bars as well.

The Bahia resort complex has a very efficient tram system, should guests wish to use it, that operates 21.5 hours per day, but I can tell you that one can walk from the Bavaro lobby buffet (map pink #6) to the large beach pool (blue #22) in less than 10 minutes, from personal experience.

I do hope that this does assist you.

Hi Sara,

We stayed in building 22 last year on the second floor. We liked it because it was a short walk to beach pool, and had a smaller restauraunt for breakfast right by pool and beach. You could get snacks and lunch in that area as well. Late night snacks are there as well. You are at the last loop of the tram so only guest going that far late at night are those going to their rooms. We went to kids club once my son much preferred staying with us. Drop off and pick up point is in the middle, but they do different activities around the resort. Bring sand toys if your kids are young enough. Then donate at the end of your stay of you wish they are very thankful. They are very expensive at resort. I like rooms in this area because if kids needed bathroom it was close enough rather than waiting in line at bathrooms by restaurants and they weren't always the cleanest. We emailed Albania as suggested with preferred alacarts and requested earlier seating and she had them ready for us. Main buffet is further away from beach but tram runs every 5 minutes and when it's busy there are two.

Have a great time we are going to different resort this year but my kids and husbands vote was The Bahia

sara j,

The Bahia does have babysitting services.

Guests wishing baby sitting services are to contact their respective Guest Services Department a minimum of 8 hours prior to the time the service would be required and is certainly subject to availability.

There is no age restriction and is available 24 hours a day. The cost is $10US per hour for one child and $15US per hour for 2 children.

I hope this does help.

John
