i will be staying at the riu bachata during st patricks day holiday besides jose o shays which is not close from what i remember any other bars celebrating the holiday that are closer the the bachata any suggestions would be great thanks

The Riu complex is kind of out there and isolated on its own. You will need a cab to go anywhere. Yes the best place is the beach in Cabarete. Sosua will also have lots of bars with parties going on.

Nope. Probably a good corned beef and cabbage dinner at the Britannia restaurant with friends and of course cold green beer.
