Brugal - Prices around POP/Cofresi

Hi!

Chances are we will not be going to the rum factory this time around as we will not be doing the city tour (just did it a few months back). However, we want to bring back our 4 bottles of rum!

Any idea what the prices are on the resorts (we will be at Cofresi)?

Any other suggestions of where to buy it that won't require paying for a day trip?

Leaving Saturday! Thanks :)

If you are in town the best prices would be at one of the supermarkets, La Sirena or Tropical. In Cofresi better in the colmado instead of the resort. Resorts charge the most by far.

Thanks. Is there any shop walking distance from Lifestyle/Cofresi Palm?

I should also add that I don't mind paying a couple of dollars more at the duty free (vs the factory) so if anyone knows those prices please let me know!

Duty free prices will be similar to your hotel and about 30-40% higher than you will find at the grocery stores and Colmados.

i like the duty free as i get to take it on the plane with me.

Nothing worse then a broken bottle in your luggage.

There is a shop on the way to ocean world /the casino, but the cheaper one is at the casino / marina, only a short walk

You could always take a taxi to the Brugal Factory Shop and back. We did that one year from the Iberostar CD.

I have seen very cheap prices at the duty free shops but they vary from week to week, one week it may be rum or tequilla the next brandy or whiskey.

Coming back from Zihuatajeo in Dec. Crown Royal was $26 U.S. per quart at the duty free Jose Cuerrvo was $ 11 U.S.

We had already bought our alotted 4 bottles & had them packed securely in our luggage took a chance & bought 2 more bottles of Crown, went through customs no problem.

Life is good ; )

Walk down to the beach walk to the left toward Ocean World, there are a couple shops on the main street over that way that sell liquor.
