Canadian tourist Card Question

First time to D.R.

Is it like going to Cuba where we get the tourist card on the plane, and pay nothing except when departing??

Just wondering

TIA

1. Re: Canadian tourist Card Question

If you are travelling with a Canadian based Tour Operator (i.e. - Sunquest, Alba, Transat Holidays, WOV, Conquest, Signature, AC Vacations, GTD, etc.) you will either get your Tourist Card(s) in your package, at the airport or on the plane(depends on the Tour Operator).

You are expected to pay the Departure Tax of $20US per person (cash) on departure.
