Where to stay in March 2013 ??

My sister and I are coming to Curacao in March. ( Went to Bonaire last year ! ) We are enthusiastic snorkelers. We need suggestions on where to stay . Let me help narrow that down.

-We like clean comfortable rooms

-Fun hotel bar

-Boat trips from hotel (and any other boat trips recommended? )

- Only come for snorkeling, not interested in seeing any land stuff.

-We hope to explore many snorkel sites ( recommend any?) but would also like a nice place (reef) to snorkel in front of hotel

Are these possible things to fill in Curaco? Oh yeah- don't want to "climb" to our room.

Thanks for any advice and help you can give!

Sunscape or the Marriott would fit.

Sunscape and rent a car for some other beaches with good snorkeling.

Beware, Curacao is not as good for snorkeling as Bonaire.

Better than fair. Some people who have been to Bonaire have expected as good snorkeling and than are dissapointed.

Still better than almost anywhere else.

We stay at Sunscape because of the snorkeling.

We snorkel there in the morning, than go for a drive with our gear and try out different areas. There are tons of them. Some better and some comprable to Sunscape. Than a float with a caipiriaha before dinner.

We used to stay at the Marriot. It has nicer grounds and more spread out. Snorkeling almost as good. Fewer restaurants. Older rooms. Quieter.

Sunscape has a nicer beach(in my opinion). Better snorkrling. Several restaurants. Bigger casino. more Active and friendlier.

You can't go wrong with either.

Renting a car is a must. It is a very friendly and great to explore.

I agree with Nick. Snorkeling and diving Bonaire is top. But Curacao is also very good. Much better than fair.

Marriot could be a good option close to town.

Renting a car is a must. Best beaches are out west

I would recommend the Lions Dive Hotel, which has the facilities not only for scuba diving but also for snorkeling from the beach in front of the Hotel. The breakwater offers nice a attraction for snorkeling and you have the sea aquarium right next door. visit the site at: www.curacaosea-aquarium.com the site www.curacao.com offers all the Tourism info and has links to all the island tourism facilties. A great help to make yhour choice.
