Breezes Jibacoa Beach

There are some good prices right now. How does the beach compare to the area around Iberostar Playa Alameda (that part of Varardero)?

I don't know the Varadero beach, so I can't directly compare, but be aware that Jibacoa is not at Varadero (roughly halfway between Varadero and Havana), and the beach is not pure white soft sand, either. It is browner, and a bit pebbly, and there is a lot of coral and rock in the water. It is a perfect snorkeller's beach, passable for swimming if you choose your entry place wisely. And it is not a long beach for walking.

Nice bit of coral at Breezes, Beach is quite nice. The place though is quite isolated and we went here so we could get to Havana for a day trip that we did with a local lad. Did though prefer the PCV in Holguin. Food was much better and lots more to do and going on.

You can get Man 'O War anytime, but more common in the winter after a storm. They get them at Varadero as well, although not so often. Here's a picture of Breezes beach, taken a few years ago.

WoW what a difference, The beach is so different to when we went about five years ago. It looked much cleaner, Infract there was a group of men with a wagon cleaning the beach every morning. They had rakes and got all the sea weed up off the beach. May be they do not bother so much now.

My picture is older than that, and yes, they always have cleaned the beach every morning. However, depending on storms and the season, the beach will look different, even a few weeks apart. (even a few hours apart, depending on when they cleaned and the tide at the time.)

Hola

they still clean the playa every morning, sand from june last year to this year june has changed, the area that is to the left of the beach restaurant(phase two) does have much more rocks now than last year. Was told from the locals that for that area sand was put their when the hotel was under construction.

cheers

Nice to know they still have the beach cleaners, Although it does look quite different to when we was there. What is the beach restaurant phase two ?
