Did you know that from November 2010 a new rental location is opening in Havana? Two weeks of motorcycle riding in the western part of the Island is now possible. have a look at:

I hung out with these guys for a few days earlier this year. They're a very smart, well organized company and they know Cuba well.
That said, several smart, well organized companies have tried this identical venture over the last several years and not one of them was able to pull it off.
Good luck to them...
Cheers,
Terry
Interesting idea. I think you might want to let people know, though, what your part is in this. It's your first post, you are from Denmark and so is the bike tour organizer coincidentally.
Edited: 10 years agoMy husband & I work in the Canadian Cuba travel company WoWCuba and are also in the LAMA & Habana Harley clubs. We were at the farewell bash for your group of riders at 3ra & 8 in Miramar earlier this year. While I wish you well on this endeavour, I am still having a hard time believing you will eventually obtain the authorizations required for permanent importation of a rental motorcycle fleet. I [personally know of at least one Canadian company who has tried this in the past (companies which are represented in the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, unlike yours which I believes only contracts services through a third party agency) and after publishing brochures and promoting tours, in the end the venture was not approved and the projects abandoned. Good luck, at any rate, but I expect in the end you'll have to continue with the temporary equipment importations to operate these types of tours for the time being.
Anyone have any updates on this post? I've been hearing things through my grapevine that they're planning on renting some of these bikes to some foreign participants of the LAMA rally this summer. Have the bikes actually been abel to be legally imported on a permanent basis? Does anyone know anything else? At least the underground info I've been receiving is that due to rivalry between a couple of diff't Danish tour companies, nobody seems to be releasing too many details....
