We will be in Bonaire for 3 weeks next month. Are there any truck rental agencies that give long term rates?
In the car rental industry 3 weeks isn't considered "long term". (Here in the USA most rental companies don't offer long-term discounts until the 2nd month and beyond.)
Staying in Bonaire for 3 weeks has been our norm for the past 10 visits or so. Before each trip we shop around and compare rental rates between different companies before choosing one. We've never had any luck negotiating any kind of discount for a multi-week rental. There's no financial incentive for a rental company to offer discounts when they can rent their vehicles for full rate to someone else.
Our experience has been that we've found the lowest rates with companies that have older vehicles, low overhead (no office or lot), and/or cheap Chinese-made vehicles in their fleets.
I agree with wwguy. I’m not aware of any discounted rates for three week rentals. That wouldn’t be considered “long term”, FYI.
December/January is high season, so rates will be high. It’s best to book soon as availability is often an issue as well.
Our experience with Pb car rental was the worst we’ve ever had. They have a dishonest staff who don’t honor their word, even with written proof. More importantly, they could care less about unethical businesss practice. Stay away.
