Socket adaptors, plugs...

...do we need them for iPad, kindle, camera charging etc.?

I understand the Bonaire power runs a bit hotter than US. Any advice please?

1. Re: Socket adaptors, plugs...

Bonaire typically runs 127 volt 50 Hz, compared to 120 volt 60 Hz in the USA. If your device/charger/adapter says "100-240 volt, 50/60 Hz" or similar you will be fine, as these devices are made to operate on a wide range of voltage and frequency.

If your device explicitly states "120 volt 60 Hz" you will need an adapter or alternate plan.

Yes, thanks, but what about socket type?

My experience has been US-style 120 volt plugs and receptacles in all tourist accommodations.

We have stayed in one or two older resorts/buildings that had a mix of standard 120V 2/3 prong sockets and some European style 240V 50cycle sockets. I suspect that all of the newer buildings will have our US Style 120V 50/60 cycle power.
