Narrowed down...

We're a group of 3 divers wanting a small non-luxury, nice clean drive/dive/stay package and we've got it narrowed down to: Golden Reef Inn, Happy Holidays, and Yacht Club. Which would be the best for 3 non-partying divers or is there another we should consider? Thanks!

All great choices and slightly different. If you are not a partying person you will be happy at all 3 because there are no bars at any of them. All well run with good management. There really is no bad choice in Bonaire for accommodations or dive shops. It's a great destination for reliability.

If you want great diving, a great dive store and clean, comfortable rooms then have you considered Captain Don's? Add to that the best house reef I have ever seen and what more could you ask for? There is nothing better than strolling from your room to the end of the jetty for your night dive, then strolling back up to the bar/restaurant before a mere hop and a skip to your room!

Depends on what you want. Happy Holiday Homes is a set of private bungalows down on the south end of the island. Clean, nice, private, quiet, with kitchens, living rooms, and separate bedrooms. They don't have a pool, bar, or restaurant, but they have made agreements with us (The Great Escape, just north of them) so that their guests can use our facilities.

The Golden Reef Inn is a more varied property up in the north section of the island. They have some condos and some apartments, everything with cooking facilities. The properties are fairly new, and are in good shape. I'm not aware of any arrangements for Golden Reef guests to use neighboring facilities, but it isn't as important up there, because there are more restaurants, bars, and resorts.

I don't know much about the Yacht Club, but I don't hear people complaining about it. On a small island like this, no news is good news.

Not sure if you traveled yet, but consider the Carib Inn. They have 10 rooms of varying style; studio, efficiency, 1br, 2br, and 3br house. There is an on site dive shop, swimming pool, pier, and sundeck. Absolutely loved it and will be back. They don't advertise with travel agencies, so check out the website caribinn.com.

Thanks for all the input....we went with Golden Reef Inn. It was very clean, had an above-ground pool, and great tank service. We had a problem with our air conditioning and cleaning service but appreciated the quiet more northern location. Thanks for the tips.
