Sandy Bay Beach Club

Sandy bay Beach Club seems to be getting good reviews now, they were terrible a few months ago. Does anyone know if it has changed hands? Also, does anyone know any more info on the "strong currents" some people have mentioned. How far out would it be safe for children to swim or little ones to paddle?

It has not changed hands. The manager, Mr. Gooding and his team have done lots of work on the service and the property in general. Guests commnets are now rating the property as excellent.

It changed hands last year and opened just before Christmas is my memory serves. I think they had new management and team and of course the usual teething problems that any business gets when new. They seems to have sorted out any problems ov er the last few months and it's an hotel in a great location.

There can be a strong surrent infront of the hotel and it is more prevalent when it is high tide. Generally it is pretty safe as it is protected by a reef so don't worry too much just make sure you keep an eye on your kids in the water which is just the norm really isn't it.

Hope that helps!
