We have been going to Bermuda for many many years, always in September. The last 2-3 years we have had seaweed in the water at Pompano Beach Club. We had never had seaweed before 2009--at least not when we were there in September with the exception of Hurricane Fabian. If anyone is there now, would you please advise whether there is seaweed? We are going anyways, already have our airfare and reservations, but would like to know.

Thank you. Darlene

Perhaps that's the reasons why '..Welsh haute cuisine..' has never quite made it to the top of the culinary pyramid. Wales may've given the history the '..Round Table..'...but no one in their right mind ever dined at it.

The "seaweed" that we experienced on the beach at the Reefs last week is not the lettuce like, or wilted spinach type that we have here on the beaches of New Jersey. The Bermuda seaweed that we had was more like a wet, bushy weed....we did no find it bothersome at all....and it was much easier to deal with than what we have at home. Again, I think how much that shows up on any beach depends upon the wind and tide flows. Some days, we had hardly any.....and keep in mind, the hurricanes that have been in the area.....they also could have something to do with it.
