Southampton Princess Late March

I will be staying at the Southampton Princess for a girl's weekend in late March. Will the hotel's private beach be "open" during that time. I know that we will not be swimming in the ocean, but will we be able to sit in lounge chairs on the beach? Will the restaurants on the beach be open?

The beach club at the FAIRMONT SOUTHAMPTON HOTEL will be "open" in March...as will the hotel's OCEAN CLUB restaurant-- fairmont.com/southampton/…OceanClub.htm (with outdoor deck...weather permitting) at the beach club.

One assumes that you are aware that March will still be '..early-spring..' in Bermuda and that the Ocean Water Temperature may be (probably will be) '..chillier..' (mid-60°s) than most find 'comfortable' for swimming (this applies to mere mortals..and excepts hardier denizens of the 'Great White North') . But you can still sit out on a chaise lounge at the beach and '..work..' at losing some of the 'winter pale' and get a head start on a 'summer tan'. Daytime Air Temps will probably run in a range of mid-60°s-to-low-70°s. (though extremes are possible in high-50°s-to-low-60°s...and mid-to-high-70°...there's no accountin' for '..weather..' (go figga'??) at this season of the year...'..changeable..' and '..unpredictable..' are the most frequent descriptives.

All restaurants are open but the island itself will be very quiet at that time since it is off season. The food in bermuda is excellent. Try the Waterlot steakhouse at the princess for a special night. Just grab a book, hang by pool or beach and check out the spa there which I hear is wonderful.

Bring a windbreaker--March is a rather blustery month, and while the weather temps can seem rather mild compared to other places, if you have a day (or couple) of 30-50 knot winds/gusts, it will feel much chillier than the air temp suggests.
