looking for a hotel with minimal steps

I am thinking about taking my mother on a trip to Bermuda and would like to find a hotel that could accommodate her limited mobility. She is not in need of a wheelchair but cannot walk far distances and steps are difficult. Walking on the beach won't be possible but a view of the beach from our balcony or common area would be great as well as restaurants on site. Thanks for any insights!!

Bermuda is beautiful but not very good for folks with limited mobility. We stayed at the Coco Reef and if you request ocean view building closest to lobby your mom would be fine. Its flat from the entrance to the room and lobby. The steep incline is to the beach and ocean front rooms. The rooms all have gorgeous views and the restaurant and terrace are lovely. The hotel is quiet and peaceful and rooms ar e basic but clean and a great value. It was only about 10-15 minute cab to Hamilton so cab not too outrageous from this location. There is only one restaurant but food good. Hope this helps. We were first time visitors and loved it.

If this physical mobility issue will have you spending most of your time at the resort/hotel, then you should take a look at the CAMBRIDGE BEACHES '..cottage colony..'-- http://www.cambridgebeaches.com/

This may sound nutz (since the property sits on the side of a fairly steep slope, overlooking the Ferry Reach/Castle Harboiur inlet) but you might check out--GROTTO BAY BEACH RESORT-- http://www.grottobay.com/ --GBBR provides on-demand golf-cart/van shuttle service for guests with physical mobility issues (btwn: room & main dining building/lobby...pool or beach...out to the public bus stop, etc). We spent a week here for an extended-family visit. One of our group had physical mobility issues and was able to get 'round the property with no trouble and only little inconvenience thanks to this on-demand service. With four(4) regular bus routes and two(2) sub-routes stopping at or beginning/ending at GBBR, getting out 'n about the rest of Bermuda via public transportation was fairly easy as well.
